The 2nd degree or Okuden is the next step on the path. It opens up another dimension. You will learn the Reiki symbols and Mantras, how they work and when to use them. How distant healing works.

The student is attuned to level 2. You will establish a better connection and the energies will deal with emotional and mental issues. You can distant heal across time and space.

You will be given three symbols Cho Ku Rei, Sei He Kei and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. You will use the symbols to assist in focusing the specific energies.

There is one attunement for this level and you must have Reiki 1 before this stage.
